Leon’s cooking journey began out of necessity- cooking for his niece and nephew. As time progressed, he discovered he loved making tasty food…and others loved eating his food. He went from cooking for three to multiple people requesting various dishes. 

After many years of cooking here and there…enter Shanita…and the start of a life-long love, marriage, and partnership. Leon and Shanita loved hosting and serving all the people at their beautifully decorated home! While they desired to have everyone around the table…they knew that wasn’t exactly possible…so they decided to take their show on the road!

Together, they created Uncle Pop’s Table, LLC, a multi-service catering business. UPT is a fusion of tasty cuisine and themed décor…with a family feel experience. To see and feel the excitement from their clients truly brings joy to their hearts. On any given event, you will always hear Leon say, “I make it taste good.
